  • Defining patriarchy as a social system where power is held disproportionately by men, often reinforced by laws, traditions, and institutions.
  • Tracing its historical roots, from ancient property laws to modern wage gaps, to understand is endurance.
  • Unpacking patriarchy not as individual behavior, but as a structure shaping economics, education, religion, and family.
  • Asking: What happens when we make patriarchy visible? And who benefits from keeping it hidden?

  • Dragonflies have existed for over 300 million years — older than dinosaurs, birds, and flowering plants.
  • They can fly in all directions, hover like helicopters, and change direction instantly – unmatched aerial agility.
  • With nearly 360-degree vision and eyes that take up most of their head, they see the world very differently.
  • As nymphs, they live underwater for months or years before transforming into skilled fliers – a complete metamorphosis.

Dr. Victoria Lynn Schmidt

Victoria has 2 doctorates, 4 books at Random House, 26+ certificates she swore she’d stop collecting, and has touched over 270,000 students & readers. So after 20 years of study with brilliant mentors and healers, she created this space to pass along what matters – and to gather a community that’s as curious and brave as she is.
